In the Manchester & District Golf Alliance Thomas Bolton won the; Assistant Match Play, Assistant Order of Merit and the Leo Feeney Memorial Trophy all in the same season. This would prove to be his last year as an assistant, moving on to be the Head Professional at Gatley Golf Club.
